Meet Kim sleemanKim Sleeman joined JLOSH almost 16 years ago and is currently a sustaining member. She joined back in 2006 because she wanted to join an organization of women who were interested in helping our community and meet new friends!
What is your favorite thing you’ve done/learned/experienced with JLOSH? Working with Kara Lawler to organize "March Volunteer Madness" - A celebration on March 2, 2013 to celebrate JLOSH's 100 years of service. We had 100 volunteers partnering with over 15 of our community partners to relive our past and inspire the younger members. Tell us about where you're from and your life outside of JLOSH. I was born in Dakar, Senegal and lived in W. Africa for the first 6 years of my life, then went to Middle and HIgh school on the mainline of Philadelphia in Wayne, PA. I spent most of my working years as a Financial Recruiter. I have volunteered my time with my kids' schools PTOs, JLOSH, Bridges Outreach and now with my own nonprofit - The Warehouse NJ. What's your favorite local restaurant? I really like Bottle Hill Tavern in Madison, NJ What is your favorite movie of all time? The Thomas Crown Affair is one of my favorite movies. What are your hobbies / what do you like to do for fun? For fun, I enjoy playing paddle, tennis, walking my two dogs and being with my friends. Tell us a little bit about your home life (family, pets, kids, etc) We have lived in Short Hills for 17 years, and have 4 children: Caitlyn is a Sophomore at Tulane, Sophie a Sr. at Millburn High, Will, a Sophomore at Millburn High and Chloe an 8th grader at Millburn Middle. We have 2 Golden Doodles - Rosie and Kaia. Comments are closed.
