Storytime Event, Saturday, January 23, 10:00am -12:00pm

The Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills hosted a storytime at [words] Maplewoods's Bookstore in Maplewood. Fun coloring activities followed the storytime.
Stories included If You Give a Pig a Pancake, Lilly's Big Day, Fluffy the Classroom Guinea Pig, Horace and Morris but Mostly Dolores, How I Became a Pirate, The Paper Bag Princess, and Diary of a Worm.

Children enjoyed Storytime at Barnes & Noble located at the Livingston Mall from 12:00pm - 1:00pm. The Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills hosted the storytime in conjunction with its Shopping Days at the bookstore, and highlighted the upcoming Children's Theater Event.
Saturday, December 5, 2009 Winter Storytime
Children aged 3–8 years old enjoyed a Winter Storytime on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 1:00pm at East Orange Public Library, 21 S. Arlington Avenue. The Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills (JLOSH) hosted the story and craft session as part of its ongoing efforts to promote early literacy in cooperation with the East Orange Public Library. The event was free and participating children received a book to take home.
Wednesday, December 2, 2009 Done In A Day
Members joined the East Orange Public Library Committee to prepare for the Winter Storytime event. They made decorations, prepping the arts and crafts, and wrapping the give-aways.

Thanksgiving Baskets Done In A Day
We assembled Thanksgiving dinners for local families in need. This JLOSH tradition was held at the Elmwood Presbyterian Church, 135 Elmwood Ave., East Orange
Saturday, Oct. 24th 10 am - Noon
We read The Littlest Volunteers, encouraging children to explore how they, too, can help others, and participate in a fun volunteer project benefitting the East Orange Public Library.
