Martin Luther King Day Volunteer Service Fair (1/2012)
On January 16th, JLOSH volunteers participated in the MLK Volunteer Service Fair hosted by the South Orange/Maplewood Community Coalition on Race. We offered several “Instant Impact” volunteer opportunities, including stuffing over 100 weekend backpacks of food for distribution to hungry children, coloring get well cards and making 100 “Giggle Bags” for children at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, and stuffing 350 “Bonus Bags” as part of JLOSH’s new BackPack Bonus Bag Program.
