Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills | President’s Message

President’s Message

ChristinaDear Friends,

Welcome to the Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the League and our mission.

The Junior League of the Oranges and Short Hills (JLOSH) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Members of the JLOSH are firmly devoted to making an impact in our community through direct service, community partnerships, grant making and relationship building.

For over 102 years. JLOSH has been on the forefront of effective positive change. We serve a diverse community of nine towns including East Orange, Livingston, Maplewood, Millburn, Orange, Short Hills, Springfield, South Orange and West Orange.

JLOSH is focused on addressing the basic needs of low-income children in our service area. Our community service work is dedicated to closing the gap on food insecurity, essential clothing needs, school supply gaps and hygiene needs of school-aged children living in poverty. We believe that when these basic needs are met with the necessary supplies and educational resources, that low-income children can focus their energy on succeeding in school.

We are always looking for new women to drive our passionate and diverse membership and hope you will consider joining us!
Thank you for visiting us and we would love to hear from you!

Sincerely,

Christina Connant
JLOSH President, 2016-2017
